It’s time for our next installment! Today we’ve gone proper Malaise-era land yacht and have a 1978 Chrysler Cordoba brochure! The car that coined the term !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ! :P

I’ve never liked this generation of Cordoba as much as the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ...the first-generation is truly one of the only Malaise-era cars I really like the styling on...but, I’m weird. My parents used to own one before I was born and then my father randomly parked it when he got a new car, rather than selling it...so I used to play in and around it a lot growing up as it slowly rusted back into the Earth...sad for the car, but fond memories as a kid!

They really go on and on about a “contemporary appearance ,” which could just mean it is unremarkably modern like a Honda CRV. And can contemporary and classic even be used as descriptors for the same thing?

Car interiors don’t come in condiment themed color schemes anymore. “I’ll take the mustard bench seats, not the ketchup buckets,” or vice versa.

Haha, but Figure B - tilt steering is such a novel concept! :P

As for the descriptions....I thi nk they just wrote anything that would make people want to buy it, after all, that’s how Corinthian Leather came to be a thing! :P

The one we had in our family had the ‘ketchup’ interior...the colors are off on the brochure a bit though, as the ‘red’ interior was more a dark burgundy judging from the car my parents had.

That is true. Some people would likely know what they are but with the term ‘LED’ - I doubt most know the meaning of the abbreviation!
